2012 planned races - care to join me? RSS

This year the plan is to do one race a month;
Wasa June 9 - Cranbrook
Peach Classic July 15 - Penticton
Coeur d'Alene Aug 11
all Olympic distance races.
I'd love company!

    Oliver Half
    Possibly Desert Half
    Nelson

    and...of course

    Ironman Canada!

    We are also thinking that we might do an outside swim race instead of the Desert Half. I think my dad said maybe Sandpoint? Could be fun!

    Unofrtunately those races aren't going to work for me.
    So far I've only signed up for Oliver
    Might do Desert, but was also thinking of something in the fall. (Grand Columbian ??)
    Limits the racing when we head to Ontario for 5 weeks, but if I know I'm doing a race in the fall, it might keep me motivated.
    Janice - I might be interested in half marathon as well

    Looking forward to training with you all, it's always nice to have company

    Looks like our paths may only cross once in a race this year but I'm looking forward to lots of training with everyone!

    My plan is:

    June 3 - Oliver Half
    July 15 - Peach Classic
    August 5 - Nelson
    August 18 - Apple (although I might swap that out for Coeur d'Alene as I have never done that one).

    I want to throw a half marathon or two in there but haven't decided on those yet.

  • Comment by Yev on 01/07/2012 at 13:44h The CDA Tri is a rare Saturday event with the race packet pickup and mandatory race meeting on the Friday. 2011 had a wave race start at 7:00, 7:10 & 7:15am, $85 entry + $10 USAT fee. Full Olympic distance tri as well as a duathlon option (run5,bike40,run10).
