Beginner Triathlon Clinic 2011
Hello and welcome to the Beginner Triathlon Training Clinic for 2011! Get ready to have some fun!
The schedule for the workouts will generally take place as follows:
- Tuesdays from 8:00-9:00 p.m. at the NDCC pool
- Thursdays from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Lakeside Park
- Saturdays from 9:00 - 12:00 p.m. at Lakeside Park
Starting Tuesday, July 5th, the swim workout will be held at Lakeside Park from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
There are a couple of essential items you will need to get prior to the start of the clinic if you don't already have them.
SWIM WORKOUTS: Bathing suit and goggles. (a wetsuit is recommended for lake swims -- we will discuss this further in the clinic -- please DO NOT go out and buy one yet if you don't already own one - there will be time to do that)
RUN WORKOUTS: A good pair of running shoes.
BIKE WORKOUTS: A bicycle and an approved cycling helmet (Snell or Ansi). Eye protection is strongly recommended as well.
Communication for this clinic will be done by email. Details regarding the workouts for the following week will be emailed to you in advance. Any changes in times or updates to the schedule will also be emailed to you. Please check your email prior to attending any workout to note any last minute changes.
All workouts will proceed RAIN or SHINE. There is no guarentee race day what the weather will be like and it is important to train how you will (or could) race.
