Welcome to the
Mountain Sprirt Triathlon Club!
Since being established in 2005, the Mountain Spirit Triathlon Club and its members have become an integral part of Nelson's athletic community. Our club's members swim, cycle, and run along the shores of the West Arm of Kootenay Lake. In the off-season most workouts take place at the Nelson & District Community Complex.
In addition to training for Sprint, Olympic, Half Iron, and Ironman races each year, our club members volunteer their time to coach a Beginner Triathlon Clinic which prepares new triathletes for Nelson's annual Cysowg'n'Fun Trialthon held every August long weekend at Lakeside Park.
Our club welcomes everyone of all fitness levels - whether you are new to the sport or even new to being active or you are a seasoned triathlete with many races under your belt. Currently our membership is free although we encourage all our members register with TriBC. By joining TriBC, you help to promote our sport of triathlon in British Columbia as well as receiving discounts on race registration and other benefits. Our only requirements are to be safe and have fun while embracing the spirit of triathlon. Scheduled workouts are posted on the website calendar and messages are posted for additional workouts and activities.
